Chesed Mission Trip

During winter break of my Junior year, I participated in a humanitarian mission trip to Israel, traveling to conflict - affected areas to offer hands- on support and solidarity. Alongside my peers, I partnered with local organizations to rebuild homes that were destroyed, prepare and distribute meals for soldiers and for people in need, and provide comfort to families impacted by war. The experience gave me a powerful, firsthand understanding of resilience, community and the impact of collective action. It deepened my appreciation for service and the importance of standing with others during challenging times.

Through my experience in the iLead program, I learned to challenge myself in ways I never had before. The program pushed me physically and mentally, teaching me how to stay focused and keep going even when things got tough. I discovered the power of pushing past my limits and growing stronger—not just in body, but in mindset. Just as importantly, iLead taught me what it means to be part of a team. I learned how to support others, step up as a leader when needed, and contribute to something bigger than myself. The experience deepened my understanding of resilience, teamwork, and the impact we can make when we work together.
