Make Charity Fun

Founded on the belief that giving back should be both meaningful and enjoyable, Make Charity Fun, is a student- led initiative that empowers students to engage with their community in creative and impactful ways. As Co- President, I help lead programs that build leadership skills, foster teamwork, and inspire a sense of social responsibility. We organize monthly events that raise funds and collects supplies for a variety of charitable organizations, while creating opportunities for students to form genuine connections through acts of kindness. By blending philanthropy with school spirit, the club transforms community service into a shared, uplifting experience for the whole school community, and everyone else involved!

Below are just a few examples of our monthly events:

One of the signature events of the Make Charity Fun club is the annual Cookie Bake-Off & Delivery, which brings together the entire school community in a spirit of creativity, connection, and giving. Between 80 and 100 students sign up to participate, forming teams to bake and decorate their best cookie creations. Teachers and administrators join in as judges, adding excitement and a sense of schoolwide celebration to the event. Once the winners are announced, students package the cookies and travel to a homeless shelter in New York City, where they deliver the treats with warmth and care. This cherished tradition blends fun and philanthropy, uniting students, faculty, and staff in a meaningful act of kindness that extends beyond the classroom walls.

Another beloved initiative of the Make Charity Fun club is the Annual School Carnival, a joyful event that engages students, parents, and the wider community in a meaningful way. High school students volunteer to run the game booths, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere, while parents generously sponsor exciting giveaways and prizes. Children from both the school and a nearby special children’s school are invited to attend, enjoying a day filled with games, laughter, and surprises. The carnival is more than just a fun event — it’s a beautiful example of the school community coming together to create an inclusive, celebratory space where every child feels seen, valued, and included.
